Hi, I’m Clare and this is my online shop built from my years of experience in both the event and the retail industry.

Many years ago I owned a shop called Tascara with locations in Tenterden, Cranbrook and Northiam. I sourced jewellery, handbags, shoes and accessories from around the globe, attended trade fairs in Barcelona and Paris a few times a year for buying. Tascara also rolled over into the Bridal Industry designing bespoke handmade tiaras for Brides and sourcing those extra special Bridal shoes and handbags.

Often we were one of very few UK stockists, along with the likes of Harrods and Selfridges. Unfortunately I found myself to be too far ahead of the trends (I know right, real problems ;)) eventually Tascara closed its doors in 2007.

At this point I went into wedding planning before having my two eldest children in 2009 and 2010. To allow the time needed to raise my family, The House Meadow was born in 2012. The House Meadow is a stunning and truly unique venue located at my family’s farm offering bespoke weddings and often undertaking full wedding planning for my couples.

This made me think about prop hire for The House Meadow which led onto combining my most favourite two things- Pretty things and CHRISTMAS to launch The House Meadow Christmas Grotto in 2019!

Currently with the wedding and events industry pretty much non existence  ( thanks Covid :)) my feet have been itching to start sourcing unique products again and so was born, and largely evolving – Let’s Enjoy The Little Things!!

Working in the wedding industry you soon realise it’s the little things that make all the difference. Whether it’s drinking your favourite cocktail, handmade favours for your guests, creative table names or the angle of a vase on the table, it’s the little things that our couples would find most joy in.
